Intentional Ministry With Jesus

This short course is designed to be part of a small group experience, though it is alright for you to go through the material independently. If you are part of a group taking the course together, you will watch, read or listen to a lesson before your group gets together. Each small group session will build on what is covered here in one of the six lessons in this online course.

The goal is not just to learn “about” Power Ministry, but to learn how to do it. The small group meetings will address your questions and discuss what you saw or heard in the lessons, as well as explore additional information that may deepen your understanding of key issues. Every small group meeting will also provide opportunities for you to begin taking steps to learn how to do Power Ministry, too.

We take seriously the final instructions that Jesus gave to the apostles which apply to every generation of believers in Jesus who have come since.

“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’ ” Mt 28:18–20)

Therefore the ongoing responsibility of each generation of disciples is to pass on what Jesus gave to the first followers so that we all can learn to Live, Love, and Serve just like Jesus.
